What happens when I Have a Driveway Installed?

Many people have technical questions about what happens when their block paving driveway is installed.
When we do the original appointment we will come out and measure the area to be block paved and discuss the type of pavers that you are interested in, standard block paving, tumbled paving etc and your choice of colour and any edging, drains or drainage channels that may be required.
When we come out to install your block paving driveway we start by excavating the area to be laid. Once the groundwork has been done, the next stage is to compact the ground to make it even, we will then lay a base of MOT Type 1 aggregate and this will be compacted.
The next stage is to lay and screed the sand, we will then install edges and start to install the block paving. Before the block paving is layed, we will discuss the pattern that you require. Our site manager will be happy to advise you. Once the paving has been installed it will be compacted. The next stage is to brush in kiln dried sand. The paving will then be compacted again. You will then have a stunning new driveway.
